A text editor built around timing markers

The editor recognizes block markers such as -----[00:00:10,000] and fractional segment markers such as |[1,5 s]. Insert or remove them at the cursor, or create an automatic midpoint when matching markers surround the current position.

Practical text tools included

• Collapse spaces and blank lines, remove trailing whitespace and trim text.
• Search and replace literal terms.
• Convert selection or document case.
• Use undo, redo, line numbers and live line, word, character and cursor counts.

Paste or write text, use the timestamp toolbar, clean or transform it and copy the finished document to the clipboard.

For timed scripts and transcripts

Timestamp Editor is designed for authors, subtitle and transcript editors, media producers and anyone maintaining plain-text scripts with embedded timing markers. Only the marker convention used by the workflow needs to be understood; no specialist desktop editor is required.

Local processing and limits

Content and history remain only in the current page and are not uploaded or persisted. The app does not import or export files, supports only its documented marker patterns, uses tenths of a second for generated segment markers and treats search terms literally rather than as regular expressions.

The toolbar is broadly keyboard accessible, but the editing area lacks an explicit accessible label and some icon actions rely on tooltips. Marker operations use browser dialogs, and the animated app icon ignores reduced-motion preferences. A connection is needed to load the app and its Google Fonts resources; editor text is not sent to Google.
