A painting surface that keeps moving

Modern Art Designer does not stamp a finished shape along the pointer. A stroke releases particles that carry colour, body and moisture, then continue to flow, pool, pick up nearby colour and dry after the brush has lifted. Tilt or spin the canvas and gravity, centrifugal force and movement reshape the wet paint in real time.

Its colour model is physical too. Seven spectral bands and Kubelka-Munk mixing make blue over yellow turn green instead of the grey produced by ordinary alpha blending. Five paint types, bristle geometry and eight textured grounds further decide whether a stroke fills the weave, catches on raised fibres or runs dry.

Creative systems you can combine

  • Work with a brush, fling, drip, spray can, smear, colour pendulum or photo.
  • Draw rectangles, ellipses, polygons, stars and lines with any painting tool.
  • Build mandalas with up to twelve symmetry axes and restrict paint with six stencil patterns.
  • Create reusable gradients with any number of colours and four sampling modes.
  • Turn photographs into contour-following brushwork, or let one of 18 seeded styles paint a complete reproducible image.

From first stroke to export

  1. Choose a tool and paint type, then set brush size, opacity and flow.
  2. Pick one colour or assemble a gradient.
  3. Add a shape, symmetry axes or a stencil when the composition calls for it.
  4. Paint and allow the wet simulation to continue after each stroke.
  5. Tilt, rotate, swing or wobble the canvas to redirect the colour.
  6. Use Dry to freeze the motion, or undo the latest step.
  7. Download the finished canvas at full resolution as PNG or JPEG.

Made for curious painters

The app suits hobby artists, illustrators and generative-art enthusiasts who enjoy texture, motion and a degree of accident. No painting or simulation knowledge is required: the defaults work immediately, while the controls reward deliberate experimentation.

Private by design, demanding by nature

Pictures, opened photos and settings stay on the device. The current work is retained in IndexedDB and preferences in local storage; there are no accounts, uploads, analytics or third-party services.

WebGPU and a capable GPU are required, and the canvas is limited to 4096 pixels on either side. The interface is available in German and English, switches without a reload and remembers the selection; mobile use is only partial. Controls and common commands are keyboard accessible, but painting remains pointer-driven and the canvas image is not exposed to screen readers.
