Unix timestamps are precise for systems but awkward for people. This converter turns whole values in seconds or milliseconds into readable dates and creates epoch values from dates. Calculations stay in the browser and input is not submitted to an application server or third party. Preferences and the most recent timestamp are stored locally. Shared URLs expose only the integer timestamp in the t query parameter, not the chosen time zone or theme. Fractional timestamps are not accepted, and component-based dates are limited to years 1 through 9999.
