QR-Code Generator: the complete feature guide

Use this guide to choose a QR format, understand styling options and prepare the right export. Each section explains a capability and its practical limits.

The right payload for ten kinds of content

Create codes for links, plain text, email messages, telephone numbers, SMS, WiFi credentials, vCard contacts, geographic coordinates, calendar events and WhatsApp chats. Each form produces the appropriate payload format. Very long input will not fit: at the lowest error-correction level, the limit is roughly 2,900 characters.

Shape the modules and finder patterns

Choose seven module shapes and tune their size and corner rounding. Four finder frames and five cores combine with solid colours or gradients, separate eye colours, transparent backgrounds and a configurable quiet zone.

A readability estimate before you export

The check works out the error-correction codewords removed by the logo in each block and highlights low contrast, inverted colours, tiny modules and narrow quiet zones. It estimates resilience; a scan test with real devices is still needed.

Files sized for screen and paper

Save vector SVG, PNG at 512, 1024, 2048 or 4096 pixels, or vector PDF with a 10–500 mm edge length. Use the suggested filename or enter your own. Any uploaded logo remains raster artwork within the vector file.

Responsive controls in 21 languages

Work with a system-following, light or dark interface in 21 languages, including on a phone. The app is free and needs no account. QR functions use no external resources, while the interface fonts require a connection on first load.
